Anne Frank: A brief Overview
Anne (Annelies) Frank was a Jewish girl who kept a diary given to her by her father during her time of hiding with her family throughout the holocaust. Anne was born June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany. She was only 13 years old when she forced into hiding from the Nazis. She and her family were captured and were sent to concentration camps. The males and females were separated, therefore she never had the chance to see her father again. She and her sister, Margot, were later sent to a different camp, Auschwitz. Margot, and Anne later died of typhus, only a few weeks before the camp was liberated by Russian soldiers.
